The snow, the ice, the early falling night, the slopes and trails with no signs… Riding a bike in the winter and on snow is different from riding it in the summer in classical trails. So let’s change the saying and we can assure you: Better to be well accompanied than alone! We highly recommend taking a guided tour.

What is included in the price (67€ per half day):
- The rental of an Adult Electrically Assisted Full Suspension Mountain Bike (Big Enduro / Downhill type) : Rocky Mountain or Marin Bike. 720Wh battery (size M and L, 625Wh size S)
- Rental of an adult Enduro helmet and gloves.
- Adjustment of the bike before the rental departure
- A repair kit and mechanical assistance if needed
- Cleaning, checking and maintenance of the bike before and after the rental

Duration of rental
By booking online you can choose to rent for half a day or opt for the day extension. The rental is offered for a minimum of 2 hours on site only (without booking and according to availability).

Would you like to discover the blue, red or even black level routes? Then the premium all-suspended models from Rocky Mountain or Marin will be your perfect allies for a day or half-day getaway on wheels.

- The Smart Marmotte insurance for 3€ which covers the breakage of an item on your bike during the rental.

Front and rear suspensions adjusted to your weight
When you can do more, you can do less, right? It has front and rear suspensions to absorb the difficulties of all levels of routes: roots, rocks, steps and other obstacles. Its 27.5 or 29 inch wheels (depending on the frame size) will increase your crossing capacity. The telescopic seat allows you to change position in seconds and be more responsive on hilly trails. Small plus: the suspensions are adjusted by our care at the time of your departure, your excursion will be comfortable and soft.
Reinforced motorization for maximum comfort and autonomy
Our VTTAE are from 2023, equipped with recent electric motors from reputable brands (Bosch, Rocky Mountain), with strong driving capacities and battery autonomy (minimum 625Wh). Our bikes are versatile, Enduro oriented. They have excellent equipment, carefully selected and maintained.

Le Grand Bornand is an ideal terrain for mountain biking for all levels. Let yourself be guided by an instructor: Initiate yourself to singletracks with the Aravigorante, perfect your downhill technique with the Forclazwood. Confirmed rider ? The Danaymite or the Araviwood will delight you.

Nous sommes un groupe d'amis qui avons loué des VTTAE Cube Stereo.
Nous sommes très contents de cette location, les vélos sont en excellent état et bien entretenus.
Les suspensions du vélo ont été réglées en fonction de notre poids.
Marion qui nous a accueilli a été très sympa et de bon conseil pour l'itinéraire.
Je recommande Arav'E-Bike !

Super sortie en VTTAE pour un EVG ! Marion a été au top aussi bien en amont pour la planification que pendant la sortie pour adapter la difficulté en fonction du niveau du groupe ! Les vélos sont superbes également et les sensations sont géniales ! A faire et refaire sans hésitation !

Nous avons testé en famille le vtt sur neige en nocturne avec Marion , super sympa de dévaler les pistes de nuit, sensation de glisse totalement inédite !
Marion a su s'adapter au niveau de chacun pour que cela reste un plaisir pour tous.
Nous avons même fini par une petite bière (ou 2 😇) avec toute l'équipe au pied de la piste.
Super soirée !! Je recommande cette activitée.

Maintenance
Our bikes are checked, adjusted, repaired and washed after each rental to ensure high quality and security.
Security
Safety requires the right equipment. Our prices include: the rental of helmet and gloves. We also rent knee and elbow pads for kids and adults.
Warranty
To cover you from a damage, we offer the Marmotte Futée Insurance for 3€. Please have a look at our Good mannered biker’s guide to avoid damage.
Why rent from Arav'e-Bike?
We do Bikes, only Bikes, that’s what we do. So before every rental, we take time to:
- Adjust the suspensions pressure (front and rear) to your weight (why have full-suspension bikes otherwise?) to ensure comfort and precise piloting.
- Check the tires pressure (we don't inflate to the highest point just to make sure you won't have a loose tire)
- Adjust the height of your seat (so you will take confidence quicker and avoid knee pain)

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Unlike motorbikes, an e-bike is still a bike. The engine accompanies the movement of the legs but does not replace it.
For kids from 8 years old or 1m35 height. For grown-ups, the only limit is the one you set to yourself ;)
It is highly recommended to book. In summertime and weekends, it is recommended to book one week in advance to make sure to have the right size of bike on your desired date. Apart from that time, it is necessary to book because we only open on demand.
Of course. Our office is closed during the week in the spring and fall, but we are always available by phone or email. Apart from week-ends, give us a call 48hours in advance preferably, and we will deliver the bikes to you.
The delivery is offered in the Aravis for a minimum of 4 bikes at 10€/bike.
Our electric mountain bikes are new and high quality, therefore we take a bank deposit of 1000€ per bike rental.
- You will sign a Rental Contract (explaining the rules to follow and the prices in case of damage on the bike). You have a look at our Good Mannered Rider’s guide to ensure your riding is respectful of the mountain and the rental material.
- You can choose to take the Marmotte Futée Insurance to cover damage up to 90%. If you wish not to take this Insurance, make sure you are coved with your Credit Card (Gold card and above only cover bike rental) or your Personal Insurance.
- You pay for the estimated rental time. If you return the bike later than expected, you will pay the difference.

Our Office
Our office is located in Le Chinaillon center, 5 km from Le Grand Bornand Village when driving up to Col de La Colombière. Come and see us to discuss your MTB options.
Visiting Le Grand Bornand off-season?
Good idea! Spring and fall are marvellous to enjoy the Aravis mountains. And our trails are less crowded. Our office is open summertime and during weekends only in the spring and fall. The rest of the time, please call us or email us to organise your e-MTB escape.
