Smart Marmotte Insurance: Ride in peace of mind.
We have chosen to offer you quality electric bikes. New, strong, protected and ready for an intense practice. But if there is a fall or a bad use of the bike, something can be broken. In that case, repair or an item remplacement will be necessary. Our adult e-MTB for rent are usually about 6000€. If something is broken, the price will be between 30 and 300€ for a repair or item replacement (and even up to 1000€ if the frame is damaged). So if there is any breakage, it is better to have followed the Smart Marmotte.
Examples of breakage (yes, it had happened to us)
The most frequent breakage. A simple fall that bends or breaks a brake lever. Depending on the model of the bike, count 30€ for the item to change. Reduced to 10€ with insurance.
Ah, a classic of our less delicate customers… A sudden pedal stroke when you are on a low gear and clac! 35€. Reduced to 10€ with insurance.
Aouch, this one is already more painful. A rear derailleur on our 12-speed bikes costs on average 95€. Reduced to 10€ with insurance.
A misplaced fall and it is not only the brake lever that jumps… A full brake (front often) from Magura (MT5 or equivalent) costs 99€. Reduced to 10€ with insurance.
A large rock hitting the frame or a (very) badly placed fall can twist the rear triangle of the bike frame. On average, 250€. Reduced to 25€ with insurance.

Are you booking your rental or guided tour online? Want to add Smart Marmotte Insurance? Nothing could be easier. Choose the product of your choice and the desired date, and check the “Insurance” box. The rate is automatically calculated and added to your order.
At the time of your departure on the bike, we activate the insurance and mention it on the rental contract of the guiding contract. As soon as you return, we check the bikes. If everything is ok for us, we end the insurance together. Otherwise, in case of breakage, a deductible of 10% of the amount will be asked at our office (10€ minimum).
