La Myrt’e-bike : discover how to ride an e-bike in marvelous landscapes accessible to everyone (and recommended for the ones with a sweet tooth).
Program:
- Starting point: Arav’e-Bike shop in Le Chinaillon at 3:45 pm to prepare for the 4 pm departure (or morning schedule possible)
- Adjustment depending on everyone’s weight and instructor explanations.
- Trying out the bikes and practice.
Technical Level: DISCOVERY
Is you are a beginner, that you have never or just once tried MTB or e-MTB, la Myrt’e-Bike Tour is for you. Your instructor will give you all the tips to ride safely and take pleasure. If you would like you can have a look at our Level Finder to be sure of your level.
Physical Level: IN GOOD SHAPE
The activity lasts for about 1hour and a half depending on the participants level and speed. The electric assistance will help you a lot, but you will have to pedal all the time. Please don’t hesitate to ask to find out your level!
Not included:
- The damage insurance Marmotte Futée in case you break something on the bike during the tour.
- Transport to the starting point.
- Personnal insurance.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, it is highly recommended to book in order to make sure the instructor and a bike adapted to your height is available.
The minimum number of participants is set at 3 or 4 depending on the type of course. An accompanied outing cannot take place if the minimum number of people is not reached. You will then be offered a refund or a modification of your reservation.
For everyone’s comfort, we limit our grops to 6,8 or 10 depending on the type of tour and the level. For private groups, please get in touch.
During a group outing, everyone has more fun when the level is the same. Depending on the outing (duration and level), we accept children from 5 years or 1m15 if they are autonomous and know how to ride a bike (braking, pedaling, turning, standing up). If not, we recommend you enroll your child in our ” children’s discovery” course.
Our groups are composed by level so that everyone has a good time. Don’t hesitate to call us to discuss your level or to consult our level finder so that we can choose the best level together. If the level of the group is too different, we will suggest you to change the group or the schedule in order to ensure the safety and the satisfaction of all.
The price include the instructor guidance, maintenance of the bike, rental of the bike and the protection kit: helmet, gloves, knee abd elbow protections. The tour can include a snack or meal.
As a rule, the starting point is at our office in Chinaillon. However, some outings outside of Grand Bornand may start from another location, in which case the meeting place will be specified on your reservation summary. Thank you for being punctual.
- We take the time to listen to everyone’s expectations, desires and level ideas. Then we adjust the bikes to the body size of each participant.
- A short time to get used to the bike on a road or 4×4 track to discover the bike and the use of the engine.
- Depending on the type and level of the outing, the instructor can give advice or suggest practical exercises to improve, or simply guide you if you wish.
- An animation or a snack/meal can be included on the course.
- Back to the starting point, bike check and debriefing.

Our office is located in Le Chinaillon center, 5 km from Le Grand Bornand Village when driving up to Col de La Colombière. Come and see us to explore your ebike escape possibilities.
Visiting Le Grand Bornand off-season?
Good idea! Spring and fall are marvellous seasons to discovery the Aravis mountains. The trails are less crowded. Our office is open summertime and during weekends only in the spring and fall. The rest of the time, please call us or email us to organise your e-MTB escape.
